Le Pescher is a charming village on the way to... well, it is not
exactly on the way to anywhere, really.
Say you'd been to Collonge La Rouge
and thought you'd meander through the beautiful Correze countryside,
vaguely in the direction of Tulle, then
you'd blunder into Le Pescher. Better still, if you are racing up
the D940 (or whatever they decide to number it next year) from Beaulieu
sur Dordogne to Tulle, then do yourself a favour and detour
off for a bit of calm.
Whilst there, buy a croissant off the nice Indo-Chine lady at the
boulangerie and, oh yes... check out the corner stone carvings of
Monsieur and Madame Mediaeval that had the colombage house built,
way back when.
