People go to Collonge
la Rouge to feast on the amazing concentration of beautiful
mediaeval houses because it is preserved in a sort of time warp.
Probably because Meyssac just up the brive road, bore most of the
brunt of local commerce hereabouts.
Not that Meyssac is ruined. Far from it. There are many fine houses
and towers to feast your eyes on and wiggly narrow mediaeval streets
to meander around.
And pottery. In red Collonge clay, of course. Go to Meyssac before
Collonge. At least you may get served quicker in one its bars/restaurants.
