Deep in the heart of the beautiful, rolling countryside of the
Bourian region of the Lot, Catus has some fine examples of the half
timbered - Colombage - house so typical of middle ages townhouse
building.
A 12thC. Chapter House boasts some rich carving. The Romanesque
church, and the ruins of the Priors Castle underline the antiquity
of Catus.
Coincide your summer visit to Catus in the heat filled late afternoon
and you will really appreciate the artificial swimming lake created
just for you... complete with a café-bar, of course.
Try out the cooling, fine mist spray shower by the swimming beach...
if you can figure out how to turn it on (when you want it
on) you are a better man than I, Gunga Din!
