One of the "county towns" of the Lot, Gramat lends its
name to the dry and arid Causse de Gramat area of the département.
From winding mediaeval back-streets to bougoise squares, Gramat
is a town of tous commerce, perched above the valley of the
Alzou, with its ruined watermills, including the Saut mill with
its waterfall.
Check out the huge tumulus on the race track... witness to the
continuous occupation of man hereabouts, for thousands of years.
Nice covered market square.The nearby Parc
