What do the King of Naples, Joachim Murat, the Marshall of the
Empire and Napoleon Bonaparte have in common?
The first three are one and the same, and the brother-in-law of
Napoleon Boanaparte himself . Labastide-Murat happens to be his
birthplace. Murat, not Napoleon, that is.
He it was that built the castle that still stands today... which
is more than can be said of the Empire, which went the way of most
Empires!
