The French take their swimming very seriously. In as much as there
has to be a suitable place to do it nearby where they spend their
well earnt summer holiday... or they won't go.
Not that they or anyone else, for that matter actually seems to
swim seriously. It is just that the summers are so hot in the Lot,
that without a swimming pool to cool off in, things can get rather
heated en famille!
Many gite owners baulk at the cost of putting in a pool and who
can blame them. Fortunately, in this part of France, you are never
really far from superb swimming facilities when you rent a self
catering gite and the Parc Aquatique Saule is one of them.
Very near to Carennac and complete
with lifeguards, water slides, bouncy castles and trampolines and,
of course, a café bar restaurant... for those that do not
take their swimming seriously.
