The Gite is a superbly converted barn - La Grange. Just a few minutes up the hill from Carennac (one of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France) and the River Dordogne. The market towns of Gramat and St. Céré are both no more than 25 minutes away.

Set in an acre of secluded meadow and woodland overlooking the Dordogne river valley, and reached by a long drive-way from the Carennac to Magnargues local road, Pech Delbos is a great location for outdoor pursuits... or just doing nothing. A bird watchers paradise, there are lots of walks that start right from the front door!

The immediate area is rich in beautiful villages. Apart from Carennac on the doorstep, (Loubressac is just 15 minutes away, Autoire 10mins), chateaux, (Castelnau, Montal), caves (Gouffre de Padirac) and, of course, the River Dordogne with swimming and canoeing is just at the bottom of the hill. There are not one, but two outdoor swimming pool complexes... Parq Aquatique Saul right by the Dordogne five minutes away and one at Gouffre de Padirac. Both have waterslides and café/bar or bar/restaurant. Tauriac, with its man made swimming lagoon and waterslide beside the Dordogne, is just 10 minutes drive. It too has a café/bar/restaurant.

La Grange. The sympathetically renovated, traditional stone barn sleeps four, in a double bedroom on the living room level and a twin bedded room occupying a mezzanine. Both bedrooms share the bathroom next to the main bedroom. Exposed beams throughout, with a woodburning stove and satellite (English) TV, La Grange also boasts large patios to the front and side - essential for those alfresco lunches and dinners.

Just one hour from the A20 motorway at junction 54.
