La Grange is located within easy reach of the village of Le Vigan (1km), near to the bustling, characterful market town of Gourdon (5km) in the department of the Lot, South West France.

La Grange is a recently renovated barn, which has been newly furnished to a self catering holiday gite of high standard. Whilst the spacious accommodation provides modern facilities, the gite retains its original wooden beams and character.

Set in an elevated position, La Grange holiday gite has stunning valley views, which extend over the surrounding Lot countryside, and are simply breathtaking.

La Grange offers that "get away from it all" relaxing feel, and is a perfect base for exploring and discovering one of France's most beautiful regions. There are many chateaux, bastide villages, prehistoric caves in the area to visit, and the Dordogne is only minutes away, where you can swim or hire canoes.

Le Vigan is the local village, 1km from the gite, and is a typical French village, with a charming church and local amenities for all your immediate needs... butchers, bakers, mini supermarket, pharmacy, post office, restaurants and local bar. There is also a local pleasure lake (Lac d'ecoute s'il Pleut) which, with its sandy beach, is great for swimming. There is also a riding school nearby.

Garden: A terrace area with patio table/chairs/parasol and barbeque for those al-fresco meals and watching the sun set, leads into the large, secluded, sunny, south facing garden with stunning valley views.

Lounge: Spacious, bright lounge with separate split level dining area. Large comfortable sofa with 3 luxury wicker chairs & coffee table. Large french windows which overlook surrounding countryside - you will be amazed by your dining experiences. Terracotta tiled floor and featuring open tread wooden staircase with polished steps.

Dining: Separate dining area, with large table, comfortably seating 6 people.

Kitchen : Well-equipped, spacious, open plan, modern kitchen with brand new electric oven, gas hob, fridge freezer & washing machine. Large double french doors overlooking front garden.

The ground floor also has a downstairs w.c. with washbasin.

First Floor
Bedroom 1: Picture window overlooks the garden & valley view. Large double bed, side tables with bedside lights, wardrobe & chest of drawers.

Bedroom 2 : Fantastic valley views are afforded in this large, bright double bedroom, which has retained its original exposed beams. Kingsize bed, side tables and bedside lights, wardrobe, chest of drawers, comfortable wicker chairs. Beautiful parquet floor.

Bedroom 3: Spacious twin bedroom, with character exposed beams. Side tables and bedside lights, wardrobe, chest of drawers. Parquet flooring.

Bathroom: Spacious bathroom with full size bath, separate shower and WC.

Rocamadour, Grottes de Cougnac, Carennac, Gouffre de Padirac and all the attractions of the North Lot are nearby and, being close to the border with of the Dordogne, many of that département's attractions are also within easy reach too... such as: Sarlat, Domme, Beynac, Roque Gageac, not to mention the prehistoric caves of Les Eyzies.
