The gite is situated on the south facing slope of a valley in the gloriously unspoilt countryside of the Tarn and Garonne (département 82) of France. In the hamlet of Bournac, just 2km from the thriving agricultural village of Montaigu de Quercy, the gite is ideally placed for exploring this beautiful and relatively unknown part of South West France.

The gite accommodation comprises two ensuite double bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen with dining area and a well-furnished living room.

There are the Bergerac, Buzet and Cahors, vineyards within easy reach; many fine mediaeval bastide villages, delightful markets and plenty of activities such as riding, walking, swimming, golf etc. nearby. Lauzerte and Auvillar, two of the départements officially classified prettiest villages in France (les plus Beaux Villages de France) are near the gite and well worth a visit.

Travel routes are excellent, with Bergerac (Ryanair, Flybe) and Toulouse (easyJet), the nearest airports (about 1.5hrs drive away). Rodez and Bordeaux are only a little further away and car hire is no problem from the airports. Agen is the nearest major rail link.

L' Ancien Presbytère is approximately 1hour from junctions 57 or 58 on the North/South A20 motorway and approximately 30 mins from the A62 Bordeaux to Toulouse road, which you would leave at Agen.

This self catering gite is only available in the winter months, as the British owner is in residence for the rest of the year... and who can blame them! As such, with its strategic location, L'Ancien Prebytère is an ideal base for those of you searching for a French property of your own, as it is available for long term winter rental.
